Electric heaters are a type of equipment commonly used in work and daily life, such as electric stoves, soldering irons, irons, heaters, and ovens.
The resistance wire of the electric heater is made of nickel and chromium alloys, with a temperature of over 800 ℃. Due to the high power of electric heaters, if users ignore safety, a fire can occur at any time. The reasons for a fire in an electric heater include: firstly, placing the energized electric heater on or near flammable materials, and causing the fire under prolonged high-temperature baking. The second issue is that the electric heater is not equipped with a plug and the wire head is directly inserted into the socket, which can easily cause a short circuit and lead to a fire. The third reason is that the user of the electric heater did not unplug the plug of the electric heater when leaving, which took too long, causing the electric heater to overheat and igniting nearby combustibles, resulting in a fire. Fourthly, if the resistance wire is repaired multiple times and continues to be used, it can cause overloading of the circuit and cause a fire.
Therefore, when using, flammable and explosive materials should not be placed near the electric heater, and a certain safety distance must be maintained. The electric heater must be placed on a non conductive and non combustible material base; The safe cut-off flow rate of the electric heater wire must meet the capacity requirements of the electric heater, and industrial electric heaters must be equipped with a separate circuit under any circumstances. The wire must be installed with a plug, and the wire head of the electric heater cannot be directly inserted into the socket; The aging and damaged wires of the electric heater should be replaced in a timely manner. Electric heaters without fuses installed in the circuit should not be used; The electric heater must be watched by someone when in use, and the plug should be unplugged when leaving. During use, if there is a power outage, the electric heater plug should also be unplugged in a timely manner and not forgotten. For resistance wires that have been repaired multiple times, it is best to no longer use them and replace them with new ones. Flammable and explosive materials are strictly prohibited from being dried with an electric heater; The electric oven should have a temperature control device to prevent both excessive temperature and prolonged baking time of the electric heater.
